This is the home of the Ford Escort RS 1600i, a special version of the Escort MKIII, which was built 8659 times for the homologation in the group A. 5000 production cars were needed in 12 months. The RS was the most powerful model in the MKIII range (until the S1 was released) and had unique features like full electronic ignition, Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection, special suspension parts etc.
